and raised, but I am excited to call Madison my new home.

In high school I was heavily involved in the arts programs. I played guitar in the jazz band for all four years, and was also involved in choir and theater. I also loved to play in my own band outside of school with five of my closest friends. Outside of music, my hobbies include reading, writing, and traveling.

Ireland has been my dream destination since I was a little kid so I was instantly filled with eagerness to apply for the program. Along with that and my passion to travel, this program was perfect for me. Coming into Madison where I don’t know any other incoming freshman, I saw it as a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests and a passion to go out and see the world. I am excited to dive head first into the Irish culture and be able to experience it firsthand. Irish history and especially the Troubles in Northern Ireland have always interested me, so being able to connect specific sites with what we learned in class will be very fascinating.

I am excited to partake in Madison’s push to go out and experience the world with this new study abroad program before I begin my freshman year. It’s a great way to make long lasting relationships and experience college living before we even start.
