Hey! I’m Allondra and I’m from a small town called Kiel, Wisconsin. I plan to double major in Biochemistry and English, but I might switch to Astronomy-Physics. I went to a very small high school which is why I wanted to go to a larger college and branch out. I’m very excited to adjust to living in a larger city. At home I have a dog, cat, goat, and a pony as well as two little brothers. I enjoy exploring new places and finding the best sushi and coffee shops.
The reason I applied to the UW Rebels and Revolutions study summer abroad program is because Ireland has always been on my bucket-list, and it seemed like a great way to start of my college years. Being able to begin college by taking a class in a foreign country is an amazing opportunity, and I could not let that go by without applying. I was really looking forward to learning about the Troubles in Northern Ireland because it was such a recent event. I was also very excited to listen to all the Irish Accents and learn about the Irish culture.
